Charity Cricket Match

The summer is a great time of year to bring people together in ways that encourage them to have fun while also thinking about others. There is no shortage of charity events in and around Harpenden this summer, so there should be something of interest, but if you love cricket, there is one event that stands out over and above the rest.

On Sunday the 21 st of August, at the Harpenden Cricket Club, there will be a charity cricket match. The game will be between the HAD Veterans and the Harpenden Cricket Club. This is the main event but there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy and take part in.

There will be cricket activities for everyone

One of the other notable aspects of the day will be a wheelchair/learning disability cricket match. This is a real opportunity to ensure that cricket is a game for everyone to enjoy, with hopefully a good turnout coming along to participate or support the people involved with the game. There will also be coaching sessions on offer so anyone who is keen to develop their cricket skills will find plenty on offer.

If you are more of a spectator than a participant when it comes to cricket these days, the Cricket auction may be more to your taste. There looks set to be some interesting and attractive items up for auction, with pieces for serious collectors and casual fans alike.

There will also be plenty of refreshments on offer with a hog roast all set to be the centrepiece of the day. Anyone looking for a faun day of cricket action will find that the Harpenden Cricket Club is the place to be from 11am on Sunday the 21 st of August.

Anyone that needs assistance getting to and from the event on Sunday the 21 st of August should contact Harpenden Taxis and we'll be more than happy to ensure you arrive on time and in good style.
